Occupied Palestinian Territory (West Bank and Gaza Strip) (Health 6)
This project aims to maintain an adequate level of health care amongst Palestinians living in remote villages in the West Bank and selected communities in the Gaza Strip by providing good quality basic health care provision.

At least 97 health facilities in remote villages are receiving assistance. For example: 85 village health rooms and 12 clinics receive pharmaceuticals, disposables and supplies; communities in each locality benefit from at least 5 health care team visits a month and health professionals receive training in the rational use of medication and health education with special attention on mother and child health care.
Gaza Strip
The health project takes place in five governorates of Gaza Strip: North Gaza, East Gaza City, Middle Area, Rafah and Khan Younis Governorates.
Three Palestinian NGO hospitals in Gaza (Al-Awda, Public Aid, and Al-Wafa Rehabilitation Hospitals) receive essential emergency pharmaceuticals, disposables, supplies, and emergency basic medical equipment. Al-Wafa Rehabilitation Hospital will receive technical aids.
At least 10 Palestinian health care NGOs clinics in Gaza receive essential emergency pharmaceuticals and disposables and supplies.
The capacity of health professionals in Rational Use of Medication (RUM) is being strengthened and the capacity of Health Educators to conduct health education sessions and consultations on Maternal and Child Health Care and Nutrition is also being improved.
As an emergency intervention, CARE supports the Central Drug Store with approximately 40 pharmaceutical items that are in very low stock (0 – 1 month)
