Civil Society

Realizing the strong and well rooted presence of the civil society in Palestine, CARE’s mission has a clear statement regarding its strategy in working with these organizations as well as governmental bodies to work effectively, efficiently and with best practices in order to empower the poor and lift them out of the poverty trap. CARE WBG integrates this component in all sectors and projects; most of CARE WBG’s projects are implemented in cooperation and through different NGOs and CBOs. Whether in health, food or agriculture, CARE identifies the right partners and works together with them and other specialists in order to attain the best results. Working with these partners and CBOs together with the specialists CARE ensures the proper coaching in best practices is delivered in administration and managerial skills and knowledge, as well as health and agricultural technical and professional aspects. However, there are other projects that do not serve agricultural or health developments, but are designed to focus specifically on the organizations themselves, introduce and reinforce concepts and services and best practices so that their vision and goals are attained more effectively.

Already in its fourth phase, the project´s objective is to support local and international organizations operating in Gaza to fulfill their humanitarian mandate in safety. The project works as a source of safety information for humanitarian workers in the volatile Strip.
