CARE Delivers Basic Medical Needs and Equipment to the Ministry of Health

Zaki Abu Al-Halaweh. Jerusalem. CARE International announced that it is providing the Ministry of Health with large quantities of basic supplies, medicine, and spare parts, worth four million dollars, to help cover the needs in the various areas.

CARE has also distributed 33 kidney dialysis machines to the various hospitals. Moreover, 50 NGO clinics have received medicine, supplies, and medical equipment, and work is underway to provide the clinics with equipment that will improve their services.

Also CARE is providing 11 NGO hospitals with medical equipment, spare parts, and medicine, including a state-of-the art electricity generator that will meet the needs of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem.

Currently, CARE is in the process of helping 12 Ministry of Health hospitals, and the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem, by supplying them with kidney dialysis machines, especially for kidney dialysis among children. CARE is one of the few organizations that are offering help in this field.

Assistance is provided under the third phase of the Emergency Medical Assistance Project, implemented by CARE, and funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
