Jerusalem. For Al-Ayyam. CARE International announced that it is providing the Ministry of Health with basic supplies, medicine, and spare parts, worth four million dollars. In addition, CARE distributed 33 kidney dialysis machines to the various hospitals.
CARE is saying that the assistance package was offered, in addition to helping 50 NGO clinics who received medicine, supplies, and medical equipment.
Currently, efforts are underway to provide assistance to 11 NGO hospitals that will receive medical equipment, spare parts, and medicine, including a state-of-the art electricity generator that will meet the needs of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem.
CARE is in the process of helping 12 Ministry of Health hospitals, and the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem, by supplying them with kidney dialysis machines, especially for kidney dialysis among children. CARE is one of the few organizations that are offering help in this field.
Assistance is provided under the third phase of the Emergency Medical Assistance Project, implemented by CARE, and funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
