Nablus. Maan News. CARE International provided medicine and emergency medical supplies in the old city of Nablus, to cover the needs created by the latest Israeli invasion. The medicine, purchased from Palestinian companies, will meet the needs of 1,600 patients.
CARE teams delivered the medicine to Howwara military checkpoint south of Nablus, and the medicine was transferred immediately to ambulances of the Medical Relief Committee and was distributed.
The medicine shipment consists of antibiotics, perishable medical items, medicine for treating wounds, 60 insulin units for diabetics, medicine for chronic diseases and infections, and children’s medicine, given to the field clinic of Medical Relief in the old city.
Assistance was provided in coordination with the Medical Relief Committee, Palestinian Red Crescent Society, and the Nablus Emergency Committee, as part of the third phase of the Emergency Medical Assistance Program, implemented by CARE, and funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
Also, CARE sent assistance consisting of 2000 cans of milk and 2000 boxes of baby diapers, as part of the Emergency Medical Assistance Program to Sustain Health Services in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, funded by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid. The medicine shipment was distributed in the old city of Nablus, in coordination with the Nablus Emergency Committee.
