CARE WBG’S VISION
In 2005, CARE will be known as a partner of choice working with marginalized people in Palestine (for realizing their rights). We focus on strengthening the capacity and self-reliance of Palestinian households, civil society organizations and public institutions.
CARE WBG’S MISSION
CARE WBG's mission is to promote dignity, social justice and democracy within marginalized segments of Palestinian society. CARE will work to eliminate poverty by developing the capacities of governmental bodies and civil society organizations to empower the poor. Drawing upon local resources and support from CARE International, we promote innovative solutions to the problems facing Palestine.
We will advance lasting and fundamental changes in Palestine by:
- developing the self-reliance of Palestinian households;
- working in solidarity with organizations that share our commitment to improving the well-being of the Palestinian people;
- promoting social and economic equity particularly with respect to women and marginalized groups;
- helping individuals and communities to mobilize resources to meet their needs and secure their rights;
- advocating for policies that protect and promote the rights of the poor in Palestine.
We will be guided by the aspirations of local communities and will strive to continuously improve the effectiveness of our work.
